Session 30 (200 xp)

"The foolish man puts his trust in luck, the wise man puts his trust in the Emperor."

Acolytes: Cato, Serghar, Meghera, Aenid.

Meghera is questioned by the Sentinels, but soon released with a warning to stop spreading lies about being a member of the Inquisition. She then regroups with Aenid, and together they go to visit Lazerus and Serghar at the medical facility.

There they meet Cato, a psyker at the service of Inquisitor Marr, sent to Xicarph to lend aid to Lazerus and Serghar (also servants of Marr). Cato uses his powers to heal the Acolytes, and they leave the hospital.

The Acolytes investigate the Shattered Ramparts, where the Heron Mask has been spotted recently. There they find a few Horrors, creatures of the Warp, guarding an altar dedicated to the Dark Gods. After dispatching the daemons, the Acolytes find several papers describing the mansion of Gabriel Chase, and the lineage of Haarlock. These last papers point to Lady Melua du' Landra, a previous acquaintance of the Acolytes.

They schedule a meeting with Lady Melua in an open plaza, when chaos starts to spread: the Widower has been spotted, and it's making a bloody trail of corpses to reach Lady Melua. The Acolytes move to protect her, attacking the Widower with all they got. But the unnatural creature seems to be impervious to their bullets and blasts.

As Lady Melua tries to escape, a few Pilgrims of Hayte move to intercept her.
