Session 33 (200 xp)

"The man who has nothing can still have faith"

Acolytes: Cato, Lazerus, Meghera.

The Acolytes, under orders from Inquisitor Marr, travel to the planet of Sinophia, to investigate some gruesome murders in the capital, Sinophia Magna, currently in the middle of civil war between the noble class led by the Qorum, and the organized crime led by the Undertow.

On their way to the Arbites HQ, the Acolyte are stopped at the wharf by a fallen bridge, and witness an attack on a barge from canal raiders. They help as they can, suffering the loss of one Arbites.

At destionation they're met by Fihad Constantine, the Adjutant to the Arbites Marshal. They have the chance to check a few bodies of previous victims in the cellar of the Arbites HQ, an ominous tower once belonging to the Haarlock line.

All the victims have been beaten to death and ripped apart. In most cases, their habs have been searched, but nothing of importance has been stolen. The latest victim, Bal Grey, is still at the crime scene.

The Acolytes investigate, and realize that something small and flat previously wrapped in a red cloth has been taken. They also find one of the murderers in a nearby alley, also dead. Strangely enough, his body his full of shotgun wounds (inflicted by Bal Grey), but no blood can be found. Upon more careful inspection back at the Arbites HQ, the Acolytes realize that the body seem to have been dead already three days before the murder of Bal Grey.
