"Sins hidden in the heart turn all into decay."
Acolytes: Mongrel, Aenid, Meghera, Dar, Monroe.
The Acolytes recover from their wounds, and retire to their rooms. The day after, the auction takes place. After the lesser items have been assigned, several guests request a demonstration of the Gilded Widow.
Greel, the Head Mourner, places a crystal heart in the chest of the Widow, and the automaton animates, ready to answer any questions posed to it.
Eventually, someone asks if Erasmus Haarlock is really dead, and the Widow cryptically replies that a great doom approaches. At this point, the ground seems to shake, as the whole House of Dust and Ash somehow shifts. The Widow declares that all the guests have 13 hours to fill her cup with the blood of Haarlock's scion, or they will all die.
Chaos spreads, as the Mourners go into a frenzy, killing everyone they can put their hands on. Master Nonesuch reveals himself as a Slaugth, and begins disintegrating his opponents with a mystical rod.
The Acolytes join the fray, and Mongrel accidentally triggers a mass daemonic possession, adding to the carnage, and filling all the bystanders with Corruption. Greel is killed by Monroe, but Master Nonesuch seems unstoppable. Many guests flee the scene, while in the halls of the House, Mourners and Servitors crave for blood.
When the daemonic possession ends, the Acolytes regroup, and begin to plan their escape.
