Session 36 (200 xp)

"The only reaction to treachery is vengeance"

Acolytes: Meghera, Serghar, Lazerus.

In the morning, the Acolytes realize that Cato is missing. When they check the pict-recorder feed of his rooms, they notice that someone has tampered with it. Suspecting the local Magus Talanis, they interrogate him, and force a few answers out of him. His heresy ascertained, Meghera decapitates him.

The Acolytes receive an invitation from Enforcer General Xiabhus Khan. He tries to gauge their allegiance, while the Acolytes notice he also has a piece of the sorcerous mirror. They demand the artefact, but the situation gets out of hand, and ends up in a gun-fight. Serghar is killed, Meghera is captured, but Lazerus manages to escape with the fragment, and he finds refuge with the Undertow.

Meghera awakes in chains, a prisoner of the Arbites, led by Marshal Skarmen, and she witnesses the execution of Xiabhus. Skarmen turns to her, and he summons sorcerous powers to compel her to bring the last fragment to Haarlock's Folly. The he sets her free.

An unnatural storm ridden with green lightning covers Sinophia Magna, while violence and death rampage through the streets.

While looking for Lazerus, Meghera is ambushed by an armed group. Luckily, they don't seem to be hostile. Their leader, Hellos, tells her they're also Acolytes sent by the Inquisitorial Conclave to lend help. Meghera updates them on the situation, and Hellos promises they will keep an eye on them.

Eventually Meghera finds Lazerus, who has obtained the help of the Undertow. The Rag Kings commit a band of warriors to help the Acolytes, led by the fearsome veteran Drake.

The day after, the Acolytes make their way to the Folly, where they're intercepted by Fihad Constantine and a few Arbites. He informs them that the Risen have taken the Folly, and slaughtered the Arbites: he and his group are all that is left.

Together they plan an assault, and enter the Folly by stealth. After facing a few Risen, they arrive in Skarmen's rooms.
