Session 13 (200 xp)

"Listen not to the alien, look not upon the alien, speak not unto the alien!"

Acolytes: Meghera, Dar, Aenid, Mongrel, Metalus

The Acolytes are debriefed from their last mission, and receive a pleasant surprise: Laurent Strophes has offered to "fund" any bionic replacement needed due to the losses suffered in Hive Sibellus.

After a short resting period, the Acolytes are summoned with haste to the Magnus Echtelion, an Imperial Cruiser orbiting Scintilla. There, they're introduced to Brother-Sergeant Agamorr, an Adeptus Astartes of the Ordo Xenos Deathwatch!

Agamorr explains to them that a space-hulk, code-named Twilight, has emerged from the immaterium, and will collide with Scintilla in 15 hours. In normal circustances, Battlefleet Calixis would just obliterate the hulk, but a message has been received from the Twilight, apparently from legendary Inquisitor Adorjin (disappeared a few centuries before), wielder of the holy blade Luminous Reproach. The Acolytes must enter the space-hulk, together with Agamorr, and retrieve the blade, before the Battlefleet begins the bombardment.

Once on the space-hulk, the Acolyte immediately notice something is amiss. The Warp flows freely on the Twilight, and they must face their fears, and a few solitary Warp Beasts. Deept into the hulk, their most advanced gear ceases to work. In a domed area, they meet the translucent shape of a little girl dressed in rags, a ghost who warns them that "you are in big trouble... they're coming for you", before disappearing in the shadows.

Among centuries-old debris, they chance upon a Dark Eldar scout, probably the advance of a larger group. Agamorr slaughters the xeno without esitation. On their way to the center of the hulk, the Acolytes must face a hore of warp beasts, hundreds upon hundreds of the creatures! Totally overwhelmed, Agamorr makes a last stand against the beasts, allowing the Acolytes to escape to a side tunnel. As they run, their micro-beads bring them the final scream of Brother-Sergeant Agamorr, then fall silent.
