Acolytes: Mongrel, Magnus, Meghera, Metalus, Dar.
The Acolytes return to Strophes' Mansion, to recover from the encounter with the Robed Figure.
The day after, they receive an invitation from Lady Borella to attend a party at the Alabaster Court, where the most honored members of the Joyous Choir will be present, including the leader of the sect, Caros Shoal.
At the party, the Acolytes meet Elsergi Krin, a decadent noble who manages to provoke Meghera into a duel to first blood. While the two fight, Magnus and Mongrel manage to slip away, and enter Caros' rooms. The encounter ends in Caros' death, but the Acolytes retrieve sensitive information from his room, including a journal where Caros mentions the walking city of Ambulon.
Back at the party, the monk Theodosia arrives. The Acolytes recognize him as the Robed Figure they encountered a few days ago. Word of Caros' death spreads, and Theodosia, togheter with the security personnel, begins to search for the culprit between the guests.
While those nobles that have been cleared leave the hall, the Acolytes find a secret passage leading them to an hidden hangar where a flying transport can be found.
Magnus manages to start the vehicle, when Theodosia finds them. Mongrel still finds the time to shoot the monk in the face, before departing. Theodosia, severely wounded, looks at flying away, while a few floors above, the Alabaster Court explodes in flames..
The Acolytes reach House Strophes, and after briefing Laurent, they retire for the night. An hour before dawn, a group of professional assassins enter the House. Mongrel senses something is amiss, but is shot and left for dead. The Acolytes eventually awake, and a gunfight with the assassins takes place.
