Session 18 (200 xp)

"Prayer cleanses the soul, but pain cleanses the body"

Acolytes: Dar, Aenid, Meghera, Mongrel.

The Acolytes position their force of Arbitrators and Royal Scourges around Hazel's Cross, ready for the worst to happen. Suddenly, a few explosions open new tunnels, from which dozens of mutants come out screaming and shooting.

A chaotic fight ensues, where the Acolytes face the mutant horde, and have a chance to confront the mutant leaders; the monstrous Throgel places a Warp Bomb in the middle of the shaft, while Assod Morirr himself makes it ready for detonation.

Mongrel and Dar manage to kill Throgel, while Meghera and Aenid try their best to kill Morirr, but he seems to be invulnerable to any attack. They successfully destroy the Warp Bomb before detonation, and a frustrated Morirr is force to call for a retreat.

Baron Ulbrexis, spotting his old enemy, calls him out, and Morirr, incredulous, points at him and calls him by name, before disappearing in one of the tunnels. His identity revealed, Ulbrexis is quickly surrounded by adoring serfs.

With the mutants defeated, the Acolytes must now face the thousands of serfs in adoration of their Saint Ulbrexis. The situation is defused, and the Acolytes return to their lodgings.

During the night, a few serfs request Ulbrexis' presence at the site of a "miracle": it seems a boy believed to be dead has "come back" thanks to the re-appearance of Ulbrexis. The Acolytes go to investigate, and they quickly realize that the boy has been turned into a Warp Zombie.

But their troubles are not over, as screams of terror spread through the Harrow... Warp Zombies are arising everywhere!

The Acolytes dispatch a few of them, and seal themselves into the Arbitrators' Headquarter. In the Harrow, thousands of Warp Zombies slowly climb the walls of the mines, all whispering the same word... "Ulbrexis".
